Biography
Dr. David King is an expert in the invention and development of chemical and energy-based technologies. A Laboratory Fellow with more than 30 years in the field, King is well known for his work in catalysis and adsorption. He has specific expertise in supported metals, metal and mixed metal oxides, solid acids, zeolites and molecular sieves, and nano-structured materials. In addition to his 30+ publications, 14 patents, and 60+ presentations, he is a project leader, working on several projects at the Laboratory's Institute for Interfacial Catalysis.
Research Interests
- Developing an effective means of hydrocarbon fuel hydrodesulfurization at a small scale
- Producing hydrogen from biomass-derived liquids
- Understanding the microstructural processes occurring at the anode of a solid oxide fuel cell during operation with methane fuel
